WATER FILTRATION MADE EASY
Understanding your water
Clean water is one of the simplest, highest-impact foundations of a healthy home.
Here's a clear guide to your options, what to look for, and how to compare them.
Australian tap water is treated to be safe, but treatment adds chlorine and chloramine, and water picks up other elements on its journey to your tap. You drink it, cook with it, bathe your children in it and breathe it in as steam in the shower. Filtration reduces what you'd rather not be exposed to day after day, and it's one of the easiest healthy-home changes to make.
YOUR OPTIONS
JUG AND GRAVITY FED COUNTER TOP
The simplest and most budget-friendly entry point. Jugs and gravity filters are good for improving taste and reducing chlorine in drinking water. Ideal for renters or as a first step; beware that not ALL jugs and filter media are equal here.

UNDER SINK & SHOWER
A bigger step up for your kitchen tap, usually through a new, dedicated faucet. This type of point-of-use filter is more thorough in the types of contaminants it captures.
Shower filtration is less complicated but still needs to be considered (as should the bath), especially for families with young children.
WHOLE-HOME
This is the best-in-class option for a truly healthy home. These units are larger and are installed at the point where the water main enters the property, so every tap, shower and appliance is filtered, not just drinking water.
The thing to consider here is the different stages used, since not all units are treated equally. If you'd like my personal recommendation, please email me pip@havendelsigned.com.au
